Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge Tour

windsor-bath-and-stonehengeVisit the Windsor Castle State Apartments, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House & St George’s Chapel, mysterious Stonehenge, the Roman Baths and pump rooms and more!

Windsor is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, the home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We visit the State Apartments to see some of their fabulous and famous treasures. The priceless collection includes works of Art by Van Dyke, Rubens, and Rembrandt. Your visit includes St. George’s Chapel, the burial place of 10 British monarchs, and Queen Mary’s Doll’s House, the most famous doll’s house in the world.

Standing alone on Salisbury Plain is one of the most important pre-historic monuments in the world, visible from miles around. Dating back around 5,000 years, these ancient stones have puzzled, intrigued, and fascinated through the centuries. You will be able to photograph this great monument and hear some of the facts and theories about its purpose. See the burial mounds of the pre-historic Bronze Age people and wonder at the ingenuity and perseverance of ancient man.

The elegant city of Bath is spectacularly situated–built on terraces up the steep sides of the valley of the River Avon. Bath is a museum of two periods of English history, the Roman period and the Georgian period, and a World Heritage site. Enjoy a panoramic drive to admire this treasure of 18th century domestic architecture and city planning. Visit the Roman Baths that made the city famous, the best preserved Roman Spa from the ancient world, but then tantalizingly hidden from view until the 1870’s. Here you’ll also witness the torch lighting ceremony when the torches around the Great Roman Bath are lit at dusk (not applicable in Summer). After seeing the baths, there is time to visit Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge.
